Learning With Us

We use the design thinking process to tackle STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) challenges as we explore together. Let’s start our adventure today!

Schedule

This is a 14 week science program from August through November in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Classes meet on Wednesdays:

9:30-12:00 (4-7 year olds)

12:00-2:30 (8-12 year olds)

The Program

Students should dress appropriately for the weather as we will be exploring rain or shine! The program offers a unique blend of interactive science investigations with outdoor explorations such as trail walks, leaf scavenger hunts, and bird watching.

Learning Environment

My passion is making learning fun while showing students that science is EVERYWHERE! Where is the best place to learn about science? Outside! All of the classes will be held outside on my screened in porch and on the walking trails behind my house.

About The Program Director, Beth McCarty

With over 20 years of experience in teaching science in the Charleston area, Beth has a true passion for making learning fun while showing students that science is EVERYWHERE. Beth was the 2010 South Carolina Teacher of the Year and the 2016 South Carolina Aquarium InterTech Award winner for Excellence in STEM.
